Blooming Love

My favorite farmers are getting married next month at what promises to be a unique wedding experience for most of the attendees, including me. The ceremony and reception will take place at Blooming Glen Farm with lots of flowers, delicious farm fresh food, and friends and family from all over the country. Having worked a few harvesting days with Tommy and Tricia recently I have a very vague idea of how exhausting their work can be; planning a wedding amid it all is nothing less than superhuman. It's raining today, thank goodness since we need it, and I'm thinking of them out in the fields picking tomatoes and eggplant and onions and head lettuce and melons and more tomatoes and hundreds of pounds of peppers and I know the harvest and the celebration will be beautiful labors of love.
